THE ART
I see my Art as part of a quest to work for change in this worId and so I call myself an "Artivist".
I'm especially drawn to issues that involve the protection and rights of children.
I am inspired by the words of the Talmud that says, "
Do not be daunted by the world's grief.
Do justly, now. Walk humbly now.
You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it".
What you do to children matters and they might never forget.
Toni Morrison
WHAT WOULD SHE HAVE BECOME
What Would She Have Become is a book I created about growing up in an abusive household. It is based on a series of paintings from my own experiences. The book also includes my childhood photos and poetry and stories from my siblings. Child abuse has altered my world view. I believe everyone can empathize with a wounded childhood; because no one becomes an adult unscathed.
